Artgrafix has introduced a range of Polar Pouch Boards for fast and easy mounting and laminating. Polar Pouch Boards are cold adhesive boards with laminate films attached or cold pouch boards. They are the next generation of self-stick adhesive mount boards. Polar Pouch Boards are used when printers need to protect or enhance the surface of their print in addition to adhering the print to a rigid board.
To use Polar Pouch Boards, the over-laminate film is lifted from the pouch board and the print placed on the board. After the print is laminated, the laminated print is rolled down and adhered to the board. The range of cold pouch boards are made on substrates including foam board for indoor signs, Gator board for durable displays and corrugated plastic for outdoor signage. Laminate films are optically clear gloss and matte vinyl films.
Cold pouch boards have the same benefits as the popular hot pouch boards. There is no need for webbing, the laminate films are matched for ease of use with no exposed adhesive after processing, and users know exactly their cost of production. Cold pouch boards are priced similarly to their hot counterparts with good profit margins for printers who offer mounting and laminating services.
"Pouch boards are a fast and easy way to mount and laminate but up until now required a heated roll laminator," said Jeff Stover. "Polar Pouch Boards expand that pouch concept to a wider group of printers who have cold laminators."
