The Relay multi-channel communications suite from Pitney Bowes (Booth 1239) combines SaaS technology for document content and digital channel flexibility with a new range of inserters that deliver world-class accuracy for physical mail. It delivers a complete solution for physical and digital communications designed to adapt with clients as their business needs change. It consists of the new Relay communications hub and the Relay inserter series.

Together, these solutions ensure the privacy of printed customer information. The Relay communications hub is a simple-to-deploy cloud- based software solution that works with a client’s existing print outputs to enhance content, including adding 2D barcodes and creating the data necessary to operate a file-based processing environment. The Relay inserter series brings 2D barcode reading capability to the mid- volume tabletop inserter market and file-based processing (the standard for enterprise-class mailers and service bureaus) to the high-volume tabletop inserter market. These inserters assemble mail with accuracy and reliability using 2D barcode scanning, file-based processing and exit scanning to read the barcodes added by the Relay communications hub. Relay communication hub also offers clients a back-up print-to- mail production process by dynamically moving work offsite for unexpected business interruptions or production capacity overflow.

Transitioning documents from print to digital is also included with the Relay communications hub, as it converts print-streams for electronic delivery including email, post to web and even digital archiving either through the Relay hub’s own archive service or integrating with a business’s own electronic document management system.
