EFI Fiery System 9 R2

EFI (Booth 2000) is showing the Fiery System 9 R2, the newest version of its digital print servers combining latest generation hardware with features designed to exceed the demanding requirements of production customers. Key new features on display include automated image enhancement, support for Adobe PDF Print Engine v2.0 and Fiery JDF. 

Fiery System 9 R2 ensures the highest productivity and most vivid color for digital print production engines. The new automated image enhancement and correction tool is designed to simplify color production and ensure expected and consistent results. Targeting print service providers such as quick printers and in-plant CRD’s, Image Enhance reduces production time and waste.  

Support of Adobe PDF Print Engine v2 (APPE) for pure PDF workflows offers increased consistency and results. Fiery JDF provides a simple to configure yet powerful solution for those environments requiring integration between JDF-enabled systems.  With no software to install or computers to set-up, Fiery JDF brings integration to customers of all sizes and capabilities.

This new Fiery platform delivers documents faster than ever before, boasting a 35% increase in speed over the previous generation platform (based on internal EFI benchmark testing), which is achieved through new software and hardware innovations. Faster speed means increased productivity and the potential to take on more work, leading to greater profits.
