Fotolia launches Adobe AIR application for stock photos

For the first time, stock image users are able to search and download photos, vectors, and videos from their desktop with Fotolia’s Adobe AIR Application. Compatible with Mac OSX and Windows, the application puts Fotolia’s collection of over nine-million images directly at the fingertips of designers and artists. The application has features currently unavailable through a Web browser platform, including one click image buy and download; drag and drop lightbox, gallery and shopping cart interface; bulk image download capabilities; unlimited gallery creation; enhanced advanced and quick search; and instant credit and subscription purchase support.

The Fotolia Desktop application is the first of its kind in the microstock industry. The company’s objective is to enhance user-experience for existing clients, as well as to attract new buyers and business partners.
