HIFLEX, the authority in MIS and Web2Print, has developed a new software solution which will be used to support the quality assurance efforts of its customers. “HIFLEX Live” is a web-based system which provides proactive protection for customer systems and can even automate software maintenance.

The print industry is in a state of constant change, and its workflows are becoming increasingly automated. The effects of globalisation and mounting price competition require print companies to target the greatest possible efficiency and productivity. As developer of the branch software solutions HIFLEX MIS, HIFLEX Webshop and HIFLEX Print Support, HIFLEX has specialised on the optimisation of all processes connected with order management and production workflow, enabling print companies to implement the necessary high degree of automation.

 

The latest addition to the HIFLEX MIS Suite of products is “HIFLEX Live.” The HIFLEX Live System, is a tool created specifically to support the maintenance and integrity of our customer’s HIFLEX MIS systems. Designed as an early warning system, HIFLEX Live notifies users when updates and patches become available, or when a trouble situation is developing,  i.e., the disk capacity is in need of expansion, so that the system administrator and HIFLEX Support are notified before the issue results in a system failure. It also shows the currently active services within the HIFLEX system, e.g. JDF, Webshop and other integration points. Factors which could influence the stability of either hardware or software are thoroughly monitored and where appropriate, improved automatically.

HIFLEX Live was developed as a free service solely for the benefits it provides to the end user.

Additional applications of HIFLEX Live include a clean re-installation and automatic configuration of the HIFLEX software, as well as a variety of support services that the customer can subscribe to. This can cover everything from icon replacement and the installation of new fonts, to the integration of new layouts into the HIFLEX system.
