KIP 2300 High Production Scanner

KIP has launched the KIP 2300, a new mono/color high speed, high resolution scanning solution that provides enhanced monochrome imaging and world class color scan quality embodied in an exceptionally versatile and ergonomic design, ideal for both centralized and decentralized environments.

The KIP 2300 monochrome & color scanner provides high demand users with the highest standards of image quality, versatility and durable construction. Capable of being fully integrated with KIP production printers and inkjet printers, the KIP 2300 scan system provides a full suite of state of the art software for color and monochrome copying and scan to file operations. Image quality is achieved through true 600 x 600 dpi true optical resolution from three independent imaging cameras that provide a maximum level of quality and resolution.

The new KIP 2300 Scanner employs highly advanced monochrome/color imaging technology to deliver maximum image clarity that is superior to other wide-format monochrome/color scanners. The level of image quality achieved with the KIP 2300 scanner is made possible by a number of factors including:

• Utilization of three advanced tri-linear CCD imaging cameras with an advanced single lens design.

• Automatic CCD and White Balance calibration

• A unique LED original illumination system.

• User-selectable original scan modes for greater productivity

• Self-calibrating maintenance systems

The KIP 2300 scanner features an advanced new form of data transfer called KIP Tru•Speed Technology, which offers both high speed and high-resolution imaging at the same time. The technology used in KIP Tru•Speed scanning provides an image transfer rate of 2.3GB per second, ensuring high productivity for the most complex full color documents. Originals are imaged at maximum speed with no scanning pauses or delays.

The KIP 2300 also provides the ability to scan rigid, thick, or mounted originals with speed and ease. By placing the scanner in fully automatic "board mode", the scanner automatically senses the thickness of the board and automatically accommodates the document surface press unit for distortion-free feeding of thick originals with minimal operator intervention.

The KIP 2300 Scanner is designed with dual document feed sections to satisfy both face up and face down scanning workflow preferences. The upper scan unit accepts face up documents for high speed scanning and delivers them back to the operator. The lower scan unit provides operators with the ability to stream feed originals for stream scanning jobs and to effectively scan thick originals, such as originals mounted on Sintra, foam core and other substrates.

The KIP 2300 Scanner utilizes a simple lighting system which provides the operator with visual feedback during the scanning process. When initiated, the easily noticeable “green light” feedback indicator above the middle of both the face up and face down feed sections prompt the operator to insert the next original.

KIP is committed to product designs that promote environmental health and sustainability. Our goal is to consistently improve and refine the technologies in KIP products that keep our planet green. The greatest environmental benefit of KIP products is through the actual operation of our products and solutions.
