PressWise

Datatech SmartSoft (Booth 967) is demonstrating new enhancements for PressWise, its web-to-print, print MIS and print workflow automation software.

Designed as an alternative to purchasing independent modules of web storefront, production workflow, print MIS and mailing software, PressWise offers an affordable end-to-end Web-to-print and workflow automation solution. Implementation is fast and easy, with no IT maintenance burden because it’s all hosted on-line by PressWise. The system is accessed through a browser and can be used in just a few hours of setup and online training. Additionally, a powerful set of programming APIs offer simple integration with existing third-party applications, such as backend accounting systems, or other web storefronts, such as Pressero, PTI, Prisme, RedTie, PageFlex and more.

At the show, SmartSoft is demonstrating over 40 new features and enhancements designed to improve the user experience, including: enhanced storefronts, including new personalized customer storefronts with custom URLs, expanded CSS tools to control storefront style, and a new image cropping tool that lets users upload and crop images within documents; PressWise Networking, a new tool that lets printers outsource jobs to/from other vendors that use PressWise, while retaining the automatic order flow through the PressWise system; new variable-data storefront templates that allow customers to upload and store variable-data print jobs efficiently and conveniently; and the ability to auto-FTP jobs to hotfolders, where jobs are automatically transferred to each RIP/press via a background download process.
