The iJetPress 4-color inkjet press, powered by Memjet technology, includes color matching software, and makes short run digital color a profitable commercial reality with product personalization of: Envelopes, Business Cards, Direct Mail & Post Cards, Sales Brochures and Flyers, Stationery, and Invitations & Greeting Cards.
The iJetPress with iJetColor workflow systems from Printware (Booth 1949) are targeted at commercial and in-plant printers who wish to add full color envelope printing and addressing to their product offering. The iJetPress is offered as a complete digital color printing solution bundled with an industry standard iJetColor workflow based on the Xitron Navigator Harlequin RIP and workflow, a standard output tray and an iJetPress combo ink pack.
The system is capable of producing full color jobs from 3x4 1/8" up to 9.5x17" at speeds of 7,500 per hour at 1600x800 dpi, or 3,600 per hour at 1600x1600 dpi, letter size pages with simplex printing. The unit is capable of producing full bleed on standard 8.5x11" stock. The inkjet technology makes it practical for jobs of any length to be run offering printers the ability to offer full color short-run envelopes, postcards and other jobs which would not be practical using conventional print methods. The bleed capability of the device makes it possible to produce custom envelopes from stock envelopes which would have typically required printing sheets and then converting to envelopes something that is not practical in small quantities.
The iJetColor workflow included with every unit provides color matching capabilities to assist printers in matching spot color of previously printed jobs. An onscreen menu steps the operator through a series of color swatches which can be printed and then matched to an existing printed sample.
