Scitex LX600

The HP Scitex LX600 Printer is a versatile, 104-inch inkjet printer designed for small- and medium-size print service providers interested in producing a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, including point-of-purchase displays, transit signage, wall murals, exhibition graphics, vehicle graphics and event signage. Combining HP Latex Printing Technologies and HP Wide Scan Technology, the HP Scitex LX600 Printer provides durable, odorless prints; sharp, vivid image quality; application versatility; and high productivity, enabling PSPs to increase their print capacity and grow their business while reducing the impact of their printing on the environment.

The six-color printing system produces a wide color gamut as well as durability and display permanence comparable to low-solvent ink technology, with laminated prints lasting up to five years outdoors, and up to 10 years indoors. The HP Scitex LX600 Printer delivers high quality without sacrificing productivity, printing up to 4pt text at 1,200 dots per inch resolution.

HP Wide Scan Printing Technology delivers high productivity and high image quality using two proprietary HP technologies working together: HP Wide Scan Printheads and the HP Optical Media Advance Sensor.  The HP Scitex LX600 Printer features three 4.25-inch printheads with a total of 31,680 nozzles that support a firing frequency of up to 24 KHz and produce an 8.5-inch print swath. The printheads, combined with precise media advancement using HP OMAS, facilitate outdoor-quality prints at up to 1,691 ft²/hr.

Water-based HP Latex Inks provide many of the benefits of low-solvent ink technology without imposing the typical environmental, health and safety considerations. Odorless prints produced with HP Latex Inks emit extremely low levels of volatile organic compounds and no special ventilation is required, facilitating an improved printing environment. HP Latex Inks are also non-flammable and non-combustible and do not produce ozone emissions during printing and contain no hazardous air pollutants.

The HP Scitex LX600 Printer is an important part of HP’s revolutionary Latex Printing Technologies portfolio.  This highly versatile machine offers users the ability to print on a wide range of media, including both outdoor and indoor substrates, and substrate choices from low-cost, uncoated media to a selection of banner, self-adhesive, fabric, paper, mesh and specialty options.

HP Latex Inks offer performance comparable to low-solvent ink technology with outdoor prints that achieve display permanence up to three years unlaminated and up to five years laminated and that are scratch, smudge and water resistant on a range of media.  Additionally, water-based HP Latex Inks produce odorless prints that are ideal for indoor areas where odor is a concern—a clear advantage over prints produced with low-solvent inks.

The HP Scitex LX600 Printer also brings new efficiencies to large-format workflows with no daily manual cleaning required and user-replaceable printheads to avoid downtime and service delays.

Productivity is also improved with prints that are completely dry upon leaving the printer, allowing print service providers to move right into the laminating or finishing process. Additionally, HP uses a unique Optical Media Advance Sensor system to provide high image quality at very high speeds and consistency across jobs.
