KONICA MINOLTA BIZHUB PRO C500

Konica Minolta will introduce the bizhub PRO C500 in Fall 2006. Preliminary specifications indicate that it will output at 50 ppm in both color and black-and-white with a 150,000 page per month duty cycle. It will use the company's Simitri toner and will feature a 4,250-sheet maximum paper capacity when users add the optional large capacity tray. It will accept originals up to 11x17", output paper sizes to 13x19.2", and accommodate paper weights up to 110-pound index in standard trays and up to 140-pound index stock in 250-sheet bypass and large capacity tray. It also features standard automatic duplexing of up to 110-pound index paper. The unit can be customized by adding options for tri-fold flyers, saddlestitched booklets, multi-position stapling, trimming, 2/3-hole punching, and post-sheet insertion. PageScope Web Connection gives this model its own "website" for status monitoring. Other PageScope Suite programs integrate with enterprise systems, provide access to scanned documents, perform OCR, enhance images, and convert file formats. There will be three print control options for this model. Users may choose from the internal Fiery IP-921, the Fiery IP-901, or the Creo IC-301. The optional graphic arts package will support color proofing and simulations and varied document formats.
