Meteor DP8700 XL+

The Meteor DP8700 XL+ is the latest of MGI’s (Booth 3013) line of versatile toner-based digital presses. Created for the key markets such as commercial printing, in-plants, plastic card manufacturers, book printers, photo printers, and many others, the Meteor DP8700 XL+ is in all-in-one print shop.
The Meteor DP8700 XL + has a new increased capability of printing up to 1,200mm (47 inches) long in format size, allowing for the creation of up to 5.7 A4’s up on one single sheet with a speed of up to 4,260 A4s per hour. In addition the Meteor DP 8700 XL+ has the ability to print substrate with thicknesses ranging up to 400 GSM and 400 Microns on plastic substrates. Furthermore, the automatic duplexing feature has been designed upgraded and is now able to print and register up to 300 GSM.

New predefined line screens, including 3 stochastic screens and 18 traditional line screens ranging from 130 to 270 lpi offer high printing quality up to 3,600 dpi (equivalent 10 1200 x 1200 dpi x 8 bit).

With a new EFI FS100 Pro RIP, the Meteor DP8700 XL+ has an improved performance over previous models. The Meteor DP8700 XL+ also integrates a new Automatic Skew and Centering Adjustment (ASCA) system on the automatic duplex system that duplicates the same high precision registration as on the Meteor’s offset registration table.

Also new for MGI, the Meteor DP8700 XL+ comes in a fully customizable color scheme, ranging from Gunmetal Grey, Cherry Red, Royal Blue and Midnight Black.
