VersaUV LEF-20 Benchtop UV Flatbed Printer
Roland DGA Corp. has introduced the VersaUV LEF-20, a new addition to its line of benchtop UV flatbed printers.
Roland’s VersaUV LEF-200 UV flatbed printer offers users all the excellent features of the company’s previous generation LEF-20, plus enhancements for even better overall performance. Like all of Roland’s LEF series flatbeds, the LEF-200 can print CMYK, White and Gloss inks directly onto virtually any substrate or three-dimensional object up to 3.94 inches thick. In addition, the LEF-200 offers a new on-board Primer option for optimum adhesion and media compatibility, plus included VersaWorks Dual RIP software that simplifies the process of producing graphics with special effects.
The LEF-200 makes it simple to print rich color graphics on a vast array of personalized consumer products and promotional items, including smartphone cases, pens, awards, giftware, plates, and more. The new Primer option, which can be selected in place of Gloss ink, further increases the capabilities of this next-generation UV benchtop flatbed. This added functionality makes prepping an object for customization before printing full-color graphics, especially on materials like acrylic and plastic, easier than ever.
The LEF-200 uses Roland’s proprietary CMYK, White Primer and Gloss ECO-UV inks, specially formulated to ensure premium quality printing. Gloss ink can be printed for spot gloss or matte finishes, or to create eye-catching embossing effects. White ink can be printed as a spot color, or as a flood behind CMYK on dark backgrounds or clear materials. The optional Primer allows users to prepare spot areas for improved White and CMYK adhesion on difficult substrates. To meet individual business requirements, LEF-200 users can choose from three ink configurations: CMYK+Primer+White, CMYK+Gloss+White, and CMYK+White+White.
