KM-1 / IS29 Inkjet Press

Featured as a technology preview at Print13, the KM-1/IS29 Inkjet Press is a state-of-the-art color, inkjet digital press that processes up to 29” cut-sheet pages (larger than B2 size). Co-developed by two industry leaders, Konica Minolta (Booth 518) and Komori (Booth 1251), the KM-1/IS29 combines Konica Minolta’s superior UV inkjet technology with Komori’s reliable paper handling technology to provide worry-free fast output, superior color quality, and reliable digital throughput. Able to produce high-quality print jobs that may not be suitable for offset printing because of the large paper size, short print runs or tight deadlines, the KM-1/IS29 also integrates with existing pre-press and post-press workflows and supports digital production advantages, such as variable data . High-speed outputs of 3,300 sheets per hour simplex and 1,650 sheets per hour duplex make the KM-1/IS29 ideal for fast-paced commercial printing environments where larger size cut-sheet pages are necessary and quality is important. The KM-1/IS29 Inkjet Press’ exclusive UV ink technology allows quality images to be printed on coated or non-coated paper. With minimal set up time, the KM-1/IS29 Inkjet Press features true 1,200 x 1,200 dpi print resolution to rival offset presses with true image quality, color gamut and glossiness.
