ColorWave 600

The Océ ColorWave 600 printer gives users the ability to consolidate large format black & white and color printing in one easy-to-use system and replace multiple color inkjet printing systems to improve efficiency. With its high production print speed and fast file processing, users can reduce turn-around time to increase overall productivity or print critical documents that are needed at a moment's notice. It delivers instantly dry, water fast, high quality prints, neatly stacked, on a range of economical, uncoated paper and specialty media.

With the Océ ColorWave 600 printer, customers can print both color and black & white in one device on lower cost untreated and recycled paper. The Océ ColorWave 600 printer offers world-class printing speeds of more than 1300 square feet per hour, which enables wide format customers to print about twice as fast as conventional inkjet systems. Prints dry instantly, regardless of coverage, so they can be handled, stacked or folded immediately. Furthermore, there is no longer a significant difference between color and black & white output with regard to productivity and print quality. GIS, AEC and other technical users can more easily expand their use of color output to move projects forward. With color, the approval process is often faster, mistakes can be minimized and productivity increased.

The printer sets a new standard for unattended printing productivity. The 42-inch-wide printer holds up to six media rolls, each holding up to 650 feet of plain paper. This large media capacity reduces media loading and saves time. Prints can be output in the correct size so there’s no need for trimming, and they can be neatly stacked in the Top Delivery Tray.

The system needs little user interaction or involvement. The unique Océ Print Assistant (OPA) chooses the right print mode that delivers the best quality at the optimal speed for every file. There is no need to view the content of the file to determine the optimal print mode – the OPA does that automatically.

Océ ColorWave output is durable in the office and on construction sites. In addition, users in Geographic Information System (GIS) environments will find the instantly dry and water fast Océ ColorWave prints beneficial when working outdoors or in inclement weather. And the printer’s powerful file processing minimizes printer bottlenecks for large, complex GIS files.

Océ ColorWave 600 printer uses Océ TonerPearls solid toner and Océ CrystalPoint imaging technology to obtain the best print results. Unique Océ CrystalPoint technology produces consistent, high quality prints with sharp lines and smooth, even area fills. Inside the system, the solid toner is converted to a gel state, thus the droplets stay compact even when jetted onto a highly-hydrophylic media. As a result, a crisp print quality is realized without feathering on the media. Together with highly accurate positioning, this gives a distinct advantage over other color technologies. The patented formula of the toner includes a crystallization agent that ensures strong adhesion to most any media, creating robust prints suitable for outdoor and/or heavy duty usage . The system’s durable imaging devices ensure output quality is always the same over time. The imaging devices require no calibration during operation, and there is no need to monitor or replace them.
