Created for medium and large architecture, engineering and construction firms and enterprise businesses, the HP Designjet T2300 eMutifunction Printer (eMFP) is the industry's first web-ready large-format printing solution with scan, print and copy functionality.  Once web-connected in Spring 2010, the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP will allow design professionals to easily scan and upload documents to the web and to print drawings wherever needed – from project team meetings at the main office to reviews with clients and even at the construction site.

With two online media rolls and simultaneous copy and scan functions, the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP is designed to improve productivity by accommodating multiple projects at the same time.  Available in a 44-inch model, the new device offers print speeds of up to 445 ft2/hr with a print resolution up to 2400 x 1200 dpi.  The HP Designjet T2300 eMFP includes sheet-fed and roll-fed media handling with automatic roll-switching and an automatic cutter.  Additionally, the printer does not require drivers, so users can print directly from a USB thumb drive through the printer's full-color touchscreen interface.

The fully integrated CIS scanner offers speeds up to 4.5 in/sec with a scan resolution up to 600 dpi. The HP Designjet T2300 eMFP can print, scan and copy on a range of media within 31.5 mil, including bonded and coated paper, film, self-adhesive and blueprints.

Available from the touchscreen of the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP, the new HP ePrint & Share web platform simplifies the design and printing workflow. HP ePrint & Share allows users to quickly print and access plans from the road, adjust and preview page layouts and create print-ready files from a single screen. Users also can create a PDF and upload files to the network with a single click while printing is in progress to quickly and easily share designs with remote project teams.

Product Significance/Innovation:

The HP Designjet T2300 eMutifunction Printer (eMFP) is the industry's first web-ready large-format printing solution with scan, print and copy functionality.  Deemed the world’s most collaborative printer, the new device allows design teams to easily access, share and print large-format project files online anytime, anywhere.

Designed to match today’s collaborative and mobile work styles, the HP Designjet T2300 eMFP does away with cables and drivers to offer users greater freedom to print wherever and whenever it’s most convenient—in the office, on the road or at the client site.  The web-ready eMFP will be fully web-connected in Spring 2011, allowing design professionals to instantly scan and upload content to the web and print and share files over the web directly from the printer's touchscreen with HP ePrint & Share.  The driverless device also allows users to print directly from a USB thumb drive with no PC required.

The HP ePrint & Share platform allows design professionals to share uploaded materials, adjust layouts, preview print pages and create print-ready files all from the same screen in a secure network.  Additionally, the HP ePrint & Share plug-in simplifies the printing process directly from Autodesk's AutoCAD, allowing users to access HP ePrint & Share directly from the application and create print-ready files with just one click while printing.
