HP Scitex FB500

The HP Scitex FB500 Printer is a 64-inch, UV-curable printing solution that enables digital and screen printers, sign shops, converters and large repro houses to bring rigid-printing capabilities in-house. Featuring a 64-inch print width and optional white ink capabilities, the HP Scitex FB500 Printer addresses a wide range of applications, including point-of-purchase displays, exhibition graphics, interior décor, directional signage and 3D displays.

Capable of loading, printing and collecting up to four sheets of media simultaneously, the HP Scitex FB500 Printer allows print service providers to turn jobs around quickly.  It features print speeds up to 398 ft²/hr as well as a variety of printing modes that allow customers to choose which speed and resolution best fits the current application. Additionally, the HP Scitex FB500 Printer allows remote monitoring via the HP Embedded Web Server and an onboard camera and reduces production interruptions with no daily printhead maintenance required.

The six-color system produces applications with stunning quality up to 1200x600 optimized dpi. An easy-to-install White Ink Upgrade Kit also is available for the HP Scitex FB500 Printer for specialty applications, such as printing on glass or other substrates for retail window displays, creating two-sided or backlit prints and printing on corrugated substrates for packaging applications. A vacuum belt media drive assures easy loading and accurate media advance and the Roll-to-Roll Upgrade Kit provides flatbed, sheet-fed and roll-fed options.

The HP Scitex FB500 Printer extends HP’s range of UV flatbed printing solutions with a new solution designed to help more HP customers capture growth opportunities by bringing rigid-printing capabilities in house. This new solution offers easy-to-use, value-add white ink capabilities along with the ability to load up to four sheets of media quickly with the help of automated features.

These automated features enable users to increase productivity by loading, printing and collecting media simultaneously. An automated alignment bar positions media, measures its thickness and then detects its position to ensure a quick turnaround and consistent, high-quality results.  The HP Scitex FB500 Printer can also print on media up to 2.5 inches thick, expanding the types of projects print service providers can take on.

Six-color printing with 1200x600 dpi print resolution combined with the new, easy-to-install white ink upgrade provide outstanding quality and open the door to new, high-value applications. With white ink, customers can perform undercoats, overcoats, spot color, double-side printing and full-bleed printing. A unique HP White Ink Homogenizer stabilizes the ink and prevents pigment sedimentation.  The HP Scitex FB500 Printer also delivers the quality required at the right price with the ability to print at various speeds up to 398 ft²/hr.

Available with an optional Roll-to-Roll Upgrade Kit, the HP Scitex FB500 Printer can print on both rigid and flexible applications all from one device, creating a greater return on investment.  Additionally, to help preserve print shop space, the flatbed tables of the HP Scitex FB500 Printer fold and can be easily stored.
