Automated, simultaneous make-ready processes

As many make-ready processes as possible are already integrated into an extensively automated job changeover process. DriveTronic SPC enables the plates to be changed parallel to blanket washing. With CleanTronic Synchro, the blanket and impression cylinder can be washed simultaneously, or else both washing beams can be used to wash the blanket. In each case, the time spent on washing processes is reduced dramatically.The desired extent of automation is specified at the ErgoTronic console. The operator selects the make-ready processes to be performed, and the MetalStar executes the selected functions in optimised order.

User-oriented line configuration

Every customer possesses a different demand profile. Accordingly, the MetalStar 3 can be configured freely, from the feeder through to the stacker. With up to 12 printing units, additional coater or dryer towers, an inline coating machine, either UV or thermal drying – you configure your own tailored MetalStar 3 line. The multitude of available features allows you to determine the degree of automation. Numerous sheet-handling modules, such as pile turners, roller tracks, a sheet management system and multi-box stackers, adapt the MetalStar 3 line to suit every individual workflow.No two MetalStar 3 lines are identical, but each is perfectly matched to the user’s production.
