Nathan Fox, Chair of MFA Visual Narrative at the School of Visual Arts, New York City, and Zachary Ares, current student, talk about what makes the program unique and how considering things like time, space and environment in storytelling helps develop narrative.

The MFA Visual Narrative studio space at SVA was designed using Visual Magnetics materials, part of the Dynamic Spaces concept. The space acts as a pop-up studio during intensive portions of the program, and the unique materials allow the students to interact with the wall surfaces and transform them throughout the program residency.
