AlumiGraphics Receives New UL & ASTM Classifications

FloorSignage, LLC received two new classifications for both slip resistance and surface burning.

First, United Laboratories has certified that AlumiGraphics Grip complies with the applicable requirements in the Standard for Slip Resistance of Floor Coating and Finishing Material, UL 410 Third Edition. This new certification supports other coefficient of friction accreditations AlumiGraphics Grip has received for both wet and dry environments including;

• ANSI A137.1
• ASTM D 2240-05 & ASTM F1677-005
• HB 198:2014.
• BS 7976-2 / UKSRG (United Kingdom)
• AS 4586:2013, appendix D (Australia)

In the ASTM E84 surface burning test, AlumiGraphics received an ‘A’ classification with a flame spread index (FSI) = 0 and a Smoke Developed Index (SDI) = 20. The purpose of this test method is to determine the relative burning behavior according to the standard ASTM E84-15b; the standard test method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials (NFPA 255, ANSI/UL 723 and UBC 8-1.
