Rubenstein Brothers announced a change in corporate name to Rubenstein RB Digital Inc. with the appointment of Kevin Price as President and partner of this successful enterprise in its 150th year.
At the company’s annual meeting held on March 11, 2014 in Winnipeg, Jeremy Becker, outgoing President, handed over the baton to Kevin Price and his management team, including Bill Dean, partner and regional Director for Western Canada. Kevin Price opened the Rubenstein Vancouver sales office in 1995 and was previously the Western Sales Manager.
While Montreal will still retain flagship designation and remain the largest distribution centre with the most employees in the Canadian operation, the Winnipeg location, originally a sales office since 1949, now becomes the company’s headquarters. Jeff Teitelbaum CFO and partner remains in Montreal.
Rubenstein RB Digital is the leader in equipment supply to the Canadian needle trade of cloth cutters, sewing and pressing machines, embroidery machines, and racking systems. The company expanded in 2000 into digital machinery for garment printing, garment decoration, fabric printing, sign printing, and trophy making.
“We decided to develop an internal knowledge base so we could offer short run printing equipment and software for multiple applications, says Jeremy Becker. “Over the next 14 years we leveraged that knowledge and expertise so that today we serve a wide variety of Canadian companies who do local manufacturing”.
“Today the digital printing machines are the mainstay of our business and the re-branding reflects this,” says new president, Kevin Price. Rubenstein’s digital product sales doubled from 2000 to 2010 and doubled again from 2010 to 2014.
The company plans to celebrate its 150 years as a vital contributor to Canadian industry at a trade event in Calgary in October, and in Montreal in December 2014.
Rubenstein RB Digital Inc. is a privately held, 100% Canadian owned firm, serving the Canadian sewn products, embroidery, and digital printing industries since 1864. Today the company has approximately 55 employees and associates with sales and service locations in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, St Benedict (Saskatchewan), Edmonton and Vancouver.
