National Azon Acquires CC Distributing

National Azon has announced the acquisition of CC Distributing, a national distributor of Canon and Contex wide-format imaging products. The acquisition of CC Distributing will further enhance National Azon's reseller focus in the reprographic, sign making, graphic arts and pre-press markets and upgrade their current portfolio of products which include inkjet, LED and solvent wide format media, banner stands, finishing equipment and toner.

"Our goal is to continuously expand our presence in the print for pay and graphics market and our acquisition of CC Distribution will provide us with the right products at the right time to take advantage of the trend in low cost distributed color printing," said Robert Anderson CEO of National Azon. "Our new business venture has also been timed to coincide with the release of the new Canon imagePROGRAF MFP Imaging Systems aimed at the technical document market. Our plans are to use our market knowledge, experience and relationships in conjunction with our now highly complementary product line to help our customers generate greater profitability over the life of the field placement."

To better serve their existing customer base and provide sales and marketing expertise across the range of new products, the company has announced the appointment of Rich Gigl to the position of vice president of National Azon Equipment, the distribution division of National Azon. In his new role, Gigl will be responsible for the marketing, promotion and sales of the new Canon and Contex product lines. With more than 20 years of experience in output device technology and reseller sales, most recently as vice president of sales & marketing for KIP America, Gigl will bring a wealth of experience to the National Azon Equipment sales team.
