From April 17th-19th, the first edition of Pure Digital conference took place at RAI, Amsterdam in The Netherlands. This event, founded by Marcus Timson and Frazer Chesterman, is designed to bridge the gap between the creative and print industries by exciting its visitors with innovative digitally printed applications. The Pure Digital show's purpose exists to give an in-depth focus on today's personalized, customized world, and how these trends have and will influence print service providers.
Mathew Faulkner, Applications Development Senior Manager at Canon Europe, spoke about how digital-printed interior decor transforms the spaces we live, work, and play in, as well as how this represents ideal opportunities available for print service providers.
Mimaki Europe; manufacturer of inkjet printers and cutting plotters, was present as an effort to help the creative community get a better insight in what digital print has to offer them. During their on-site conference, Mimaki showed their latest UV-print technology, demonstrating the UJF -6042 mkII which can be used to direct-print on various objects and materials such as wood, metal, and glass. The UCJV300-160, also unique in it’s kind and demonstrated by Mimaki, is a high-spec model equipped with the 4 layers print function in addition to UV-LED print and Print & Cut. It is a versatile model widely supporting job by short delivery time to advertisement sign with leading design.
Probo, an innovative printing company who is fully focus on resellers and recently named one of 250 most fast growing companies of The Netherlands (The Top 250 Scale-ups 2018), offered an inspiring café for sign makers, designers, interior specialists, brand managers, and marketers to come together during Pure Digital. At this café, Probo introduced their visitors to their digital printing possibilities for interior design (such as curtains, bedding, wallpaper, pillows, etc.), and shows their innovative new product—a digital printed lining wallpaper perfect for uneven and damaged walls. This could be a great solution to minimize finishing cost like plastering for new housing projects or house renovations.
With 15,000 attendees, print professionals across The Netherlands, and creatives alike, were able to witness new technology advancements and gain inspiration for applications to support their business and take their projects to the next level. The next huge industrial print show, InPrint 2018, will take place in North America in Chicago at The Palmer House Hilton from May 1-2. Find out more by visiting the InPrint website here.
