Flottman Company Named a Finalist for the 18th Annual Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's Small Business Excellence Award

The Cincinnati USA Chamber of Commerce has selected the Flottman Company as one of six finalists for the 2013 Small Business of the Year.

The Flottman Company was one of only six finalists for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Small Business Excellence Award 16-50 employee category, along with Accelerated Business Results, Axiom Consulting, Illumination Research, Infintech LLC and Truepoint Inc.

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s 18th Annual Small Business Excellence Awards (SBEA) were established to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of small businesses around the Cincinnati USA region. The Cincinnati area is home to more than 45,000 small businesses, employing more than 650,000 individuals. Finalists for the Small Business Excellence Awards are chosen from hundreds of nominations which are reviewed by business peers for industry advancements, employee relations, economic growth and community involvement.

The Flottman Company was nominated as a success driven, family owned, full-service, communications provider renowned for delivering high quality marketing solutions empowering companies to “Communicate Brilliantly.” Flottman Company is a certified green manufacturer by the Forestry Stewardship Council. Over half of Flottman’s 49 employees have been with the company for more than ten years. Flottman Company is dedicated to the community through their charitable efforts with United Ministries, CET and Teen Response.

At a May 16th luncheon event hosted by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber at the Millennium Hotel in Downtown Cincinnati, the finalist were honored and the winners crowned. The celebration included a keynote address by Clay Mathile, former CEO of the Iams Company and Chairman & CEO of The Mathile Institute for the Advancement of Human Nutrition. The winner of the 2013 Small Business Excellence Award in the 16-50 employee category was Infintech LLC and runner-up was Axiom Consulting. Flottman Company received multiple recognitions throughout the event for being a finalist.

According to Tom Flottman, CEO, Flottman Company, “We owe this honor to our employees who make opportunities like this possible because of their dedication and commitment to service. This is the first time the Chamber has recognized us and it is truly an honor to be associated at this degree with such great companies from across our region.”

This year the Flottman Company has also been named the American Marketing Association’s Small Business Marketer of the Year, received a MANNY Award for Best Manufacturing Workplace and was a recipient of the 2013 TriState Success Award.
