PIA San Diego’s Annual Meeting: Rendezvous at the Races
Del Mar Races Again Will be Backdrop to Honor Top Leaders of the Southern California Printing Industry on Aug. 19; Devo to Rock the House.
The Printing Industries Association of San Diego (PIA/SD), the largest local association serving the graphic arts and printing industry, will host its Annual Meeting for the third consecutive year at the Del Mar Race Track. This popular event will once again be held in a private suite where guests will enjoy panoramic views of the track and an exciting afternoon of food, gaming, and industry networking. PIA/SD’s new 2011-2012 Board of Directors will be installed, as we also honor our dedicated retiring Board members. The event kicks off at 3 pm on Friday, August 19, 2011 in the Native Diver Sky Room at The Del Mar Race Track.
This festive Friday afternoon will be sponsored by members and industry supporters. Ricoh Production Printing has signed on as the Title Sponsor, UPS will be the evening’s Dinner Sponsor, and Prudential Overall Supply has signed on as the Industry Sponsor. The first race starts at 4 pm, followed by food, drinks, raffle, board installation and a free concert with popular 80’s band Devo.
Current Chairman of the Board, Greg Gould, President of Eye/Comm will be installed for his second term and invites members and friends to this exciting annual event, “Before I attended the inaugural PIA Rendezvous at the Races, I had never been to a horse race. It was so much fun enjoying the scene with my PIA colleagues that I haven’t missed a Rendezvous since. Join me and your PIA friends for an afternoon of fun, good food and the excitement of Del Mar.”
Check-in begins at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and the new Board of Directors will be installed at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $69 for PIA/SD members & $79 for non-members.
