MACtac Announces New Vice President of Sales and Marketing
MACtac has promoted long-time employee Ed LaForge to the position of vice president of sales and marketing for MACtac North America.
MACtac has promoted long-time employee Ed LaForge to the position of vice president of sales and marketing for MACtac North America. LaForge previously served as the vice president of marketing for North America, where he led strategic marketing initiatives, product commercialization, market research and financial planning. In his expanded role, he will now also oversee the sales operations for MACtac North America through account planning, customer relationship development and new business development.
Through his work at MACtac, LaForge brings more than 19 years experience serving the pressure-sensitive adhesive industry. During his tenure, he has held several senior management positions involving different facets of the business, including: marketing, sales, technical marketing, operations, product development, sourcing, customer service and finance.
"Ed's experience in the many disciplines related to MACtac's products, services and customers, from raw material supply and manufacturing to commercialization, converting, and end use, provides him with a unique perspective on our business," said Jim Peruzzi, president, MACtac North America. "Promoting Ed to this new position allows him to play an instrumental role in expanding MACtac's focus on developing new technologies and innovative solutions to meet our customers' latest challenges. In addition to his extensive background with MACtac, LaForge is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Akron, and has graduate-level training. Prior to joining MACtac, he held management positions for Johnson Controls, Inc., Blue Cross Blue Shield, and ICI Chemical.
