efpa Recognized by Sustainable Forestry Initiative
SFI "Applauds" Environmentally Friendly Printers Association for ensuring paper is certified under a credible certification program.
The Environmentally Friendly Printers Association (efpa) is pleased to have the recognition and support of SFI. SFI Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for maintaining, overseeing and improving a sustainable forestry certification program that is internationally recognized and is the largest single forest standard in the world. efpa requires paper used in certification to be from certified sources such as SFI. efpa also requires the papers to contain at least 10% post consumer waste.
SFI states in a recent released letter to efpa: “When it comes to use of paper products used by efpa-certified facilities, SFI applauds the efpa for ensuring the paper is certified under a credible forest certification program like the SFI program. efpa is following along with other credible organizations who understand that only 10 percent of the world's forests are certified to any certification standards.”
efpa is a growing association and is always trying to better their printing certification program while at the same time making it affordable to printers and print consumers. We are happy to have the support of SFI. To learn more about efpa and all of our standards along with benefits of becoming part of efpa, please visit us online at www.myefpa.com or call 888.414.3844
