QDirect v5.0

QDirect software from Rochester Software Associates (Booth 4634) controls and automates digital workflows, routes jobs, and manages output across an entire organization. QDirect allows customers to consolidate printing and maximize equipment utilization, by handling many workflows - from simple output management to complex multi-location, multi-vendor workflows. QDirect accepts jobs from any source, including the network, mainframes, hot folders, other RSA applications such as WebCRD and M.I.S. Print, and popular industry applications. The software centrally manages and routes print jobs to a wide range of destinations, including production printers, the fleet, archival systems, email, or submission to external prepress and workflow applications. The software supports numerous file formats, including PostScript, PDF, PCL, LCDS, EBCDIC, ASCII, IPDS and VIPP.

Extend QDirect’s capabilities with several add-on modules. QDirect Dynamics automates processing transactional and transpromo variable data using PDF template-based documents created with popular VDP software. The QDirect Make Ready module enables QDirect to process and re-ticket files created by digital production make ready and prepress tools to print on production devices from major print vendors. QDirect.SCAN and QDirect Accounting allow distributed MFPs to scan hardcopy documents with ticketing, submitting them to a centralized print shop without operator intervention, simplifying workflows and eliminating manual processes, tracking budget allocation, and usage reporting.
