The Harlequin RIP and Bodoni's pressSIGN Make Color A Breeze
Global Graphics' Harlequin RIP and Bodoni Systems' pressSIGN now work together automatically, providing easy-to-use color calibration for the print shop.
Global Graphics' Harlequin RIP and Bodoni Systems' pressSIGN now work together automatically, providing easy-to-use color calibration for the print shop with superior results that meet international color standards.
The Harlequin RIP Version 9.0 and Bodoni's pressSIGN Version 4.6 enable fully automated digital printer and offset press calibration and conformance with ISO printing conditions.
pressSIGN-PRO Version 4.6 measures and controls the printing process for up to 6-colour printing to ensure accurate color on press. It features a complete set of analysis tools to help improve press and operator performance, identifying issues of wastage and quality.
Martin Bailey, Global Graphics' chief technology officer said, "Version 9.0 of the Harlequin RIP allows vendors of press color control solutions to directly submit plate calibration sets into the RIP without manual intervention. Delivering data automatically into the RIP is far easier and faster than older manual methods, and eliminates the potential of a transcription error. It's therefore much more likely to be used regularly and will improve print quality and consistency as a result."
Ian Reid, managing director of Bodoni Systems commented, "pressSIGN, from Bodoni Systems, has long been working with Harlequin RIP users to provide an efficient method of updating plate adjustment data. We welcome version 9.0 of the Harlequin RIP with its improved customer interface which makes creating and updating tonal values so much easier. The launch of version 9.0 coincides with a new pressSIGN upgrade featuring Bodoni's new patent pending 4CX technology which provides a much more efficient method of achieving grey balance on all printing devices from litho through to digital."
