Trelleborg Invests in Flexo Sleeve Capacity

Trelleborg's printing solutions operation has completed a major investment program at its Axcyl flexo sleeve production facility in France, commissioning a new oven, grinder and sleeve indexing facility. The project is part of an ongoing increase in capacity at the site, which also entails the creation of the new position of Director of Operations, a role now filled with the appointment of Katia Deycard.

Damien Leterrier, Axcyl sales and application manager, said: "It's an exciting time at the Trelleborg Axcyl factory. A significant amount of work has been carried out over the last two years to increase production capacity so that we can ensure a faster turnaround of flexo sleeves. We've also examined the entire operating structure and have altered this to improve our service to customers even further.

"The appointment of Katia Deycard, who is based at the Mirambeau plant in France, has been part of that change. She has fifteen years experience in production and quality management positions, as well as being a leader of several major improvement projects during that time. As Director of Operations she will work closely with the Trelleborg Axcyl sales and customer service team.

"At Labelexpo Europe 2017, which will be held in Brussels between 25th to 28th September, we will be explaining to customers and distributors how the recent changes and investment will provide them with an enhanced service. Throughout the exhibition Trelleborg will have a team of flexo sleeve and offset blanket technical experts and sales personnel on the Savatech booth (11 F16)."
