Montreal’s Pazazz Printing has become the first label company in the province of Quebec to install a 17-inch, 10-colour UV Mark Andy Performance Series P5 Press. The flexographic, servo-driven press will allow Pazazz to “reach markets where the demands are ever increasing and the clients’ expectations are reaching epic levels,” said Shawn Werbitt, President of Pazazz Labels Mark Andy Performance Series P5 Flexo Press. An key benefit of the P5 is the reduced impact on the environment, as less substrate waste and consumables are used. “We are always exploring ways to improve our productivity while at the same time reducing our waste. This new addition will enable us to continue working on achieving those standards,” Werbitt added. The press can print on a multitude of substrates up to a 14-point board and is also one of the most operator-friendly presses on the market. With the fastest make-ready times in the industry (4-colour changeovers can be completed in 3 minutes) and efficient waste savings, the P5 is designed for “the everyday converter looking to achieve servo-driven productivity and high quality levels.” Founded in 1992, Pazazz specializes in UV and conventional offset printing up to 56”, digital printing, flexo and digital labels, packaging and large format – and is a “one-stop-shop” for Cross Media Integrated (CMI) marketing solutions. The company is a certified G7 Master Printer, FSC, PEFC and SFI certified, and promotes UV inks that are VOC-free. It’s also known for its viral videos titled “Printing’s Alive” and “Printing’s Alive 2” that have been viewed by more than 260,000 on YouTube.
