The HP Indigo 20000 gives packaging printers and label converters the ability to offer customers the benefits of digital printing for almost any packaging application, including flexible packaging, labels and shrink sleeves on film or paper.

Innovative Labeling Solutions (ILS), a pioneer in digital printing for labels, expanded its digital printing capabilities and entered into flexible packaging by acquiring the first HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press in the United States.

After installing its first narrow-web HP Indigo digital presses in 2005, ILS evolved from a narrow web flexographic label converter to a leading full-service label and packaging provider recognizing that digital print would be a key differentiator. In less than 10 years, digital printing has grown from zero to 60 percent of ILS’ revenue.

ILS expects to be able to produce up to 80 percent of its customers' flexible packaging applications with the new 30-inch HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press, including those not previously addressable with digital printing technology because of former size limitations. For the first time, ILS can bring all the advantages of digital to brands’ larger-sized flexible packaging applications, such as three-sided sealed bags and stand up pouches. The HP Indigo 20000 also delivers significant workflow benefits to its existing label printing business, with higher imposition efficiency and a greater number of labels that can be produced per run, all with quality comparable to or better than conventional printing technologies such as gravure.
