The :Azura Ultima C85 and C125, being introduced at Graph Expo 2011, is Agfa’s next-generation thermal clean-out unit (COU).
Agfa's (Booth 1227) :Azura Ultima is Agfa’s next-generation thermal clean-out unit (COU). Available in two models (C85 and C125) the :Azura Ultima offers convenience and ecology for high-volume, chemistry-free plate-making. Its new design reduces gum consumption and extends bath life for commercial printers with yearly plate production volume greater than 200,000 sqft.
:Azura Ultima C85 and C125, being introduced at Graph Expo 2011, accommodate plate widths up to 85cm (33.4 inches) and 125cm (49 inches) respectively.
Based on Agfa’s Thermofuse technology, plate-making with Agfa’s chemistry-free plates and clean-out unit is a physical process, eliminating chemical processing, the main variable affecting image consistency. After exposure, plates are cleaned and gummed in the :Azura Ultima COU.
The :Azura Ultima COU is suitable for use with Agfa’s chemistry-free plate and future thermal chemistry-free plate enhancements.
