:Azura C65

The :Azura C65 is Agfa’s (Booth 1227) first table-top clean-out unit (COU) for its thermal chemistry free offset plate :Azura TS. The C65 COU, being launched at GRAPH EXPO 2011, supports plate widths up to 65 cm (25.5 inches) and provides the stability, ease-of-use and eco-friendly, chemistry-free plate-making to the small commercial printer. This cost-effective solution is ideal for a small commercial printer looking for a chemistry-free alternative to a chemical-based, plate-making process.

After a plate has been imaged, the :Azura C65 enables the clean-out of the non-imaged plate areas by using a circulating gum solution. Based on Agfa’s proven Thermofuse technology, plate-making with Agfa’s chemistry-free plates and clean-out unit is a physical process, eliminating chemical processing, the main variable affecting image consistency. It has a self-contained circulating system, so it does not need an external water connection, nor is plumbing required.

The :Azura C65 features a small footprint and is ideally suited for a yearly plate production volume of up to 43,000 sqft. The C65 COU and :Azura TS plate are ideal for a variety of high quality offset sheet fed printing applications for the small commercial printer with run lengths up to 100,000 impressions.
