AnaJet Announces Anniversary of alliance with Ricoh Printing Systems USA
AnaJet printers are widely regarded as the global garment decoration industry’s benchmark for faithfully reproducing full color digital images onto t-shirts, polo shirts, canvas bags and other products.
AnaJet, makers of the best-selling digital apparel printer, is celebrating the two-year anniversary for their technology alliance with Ricoh Printing Systems America (RPSA), a subsidiary of Ricoh Company, Ltd. RPSA is the exclusive manufacturer of the MH2420 print heads that are the heart of AnaJet’s best-selling mPower i-series digital apparel printer. AnaJet printers are widely regarded as the global garment decoration industry’s benchmark for faithfully reproducing full color digital images onto t-shirts, polo shirts, canvas bags and other products.
“Most direct to garment printer manufacturers source their print heads from equipment that was not originally intended for production-capacity garment printing,” said Don Rasmussen, Director of Engineering at AnaJet. “With the mPower, AnaJet re-imagined how a DTG printer should be built, using more robust components for speed and stamina. One of our first major requirements was a print head that could withstand production conditions without the high cost. We found that the Ricoh MH2420 print head delivered the most consistent quality print and the greatest durability for high speed and high volume output.”
“It’s an honor to be the top choice for quality and dependability when it comes to AnaJet direct to garment printers,” said Hiroyuki Kajiyama, CEO and President of Ricoh Printing Systems America. “We have worked closely with AnaJet to rigorously test new configurations and ensure reliable performance. Ricoh looks forward to providing continued support for AnaJet’s best-selling mPower i-series line and for future DTG product lines.”
Owners of the mPower direct to garment printer, including many who upgraded from a previous printer, attest to the quality and durability of their printers.
“After I purchased my mPower mP5 in early 2012, I made rapid progress in growing a DTG line of business,” said Andy Buchholz, owner of Eastern Shore Signs, a digital printer and sign maker in Cape Charles, Virginia. “Based on my 25-plus years in the printing industry and my expertise in inkjet printing, I can attest to the durability and quality of the Ricoh print heads. Customers are blown away at the level of detail and vibrancy of their printed shirts. In fact, customer demand has been so strong that I used my DTG profits to upgrade to the mP10i, which has six Ricoh print heads, for faster production.”
“We did great things with our AnaJet SPRINT over the past two years, but we love our mPower,” said Henry Landau, owner of Landau’s of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey, a retail apparel store. “In June, July and August of this year, we produced $70,000 in sales with the mPower mP5i and ran a 68% gross margin.”
All mPower digital apparel printers print full-color digital images with resolutions ranging up to 1200 dpi. AnaJet launched the mPower in August 2011 to overwhelming response, then launched the next-generation mPower i-series in April 2013.
Interested parties in the USA can see demonstrations of the mPower i-series with the Ricoh MH2420 print head at SGIA Expo 2013 in Orlando, Florida, from October 23-25, booth 2076.
Internationally, AnaJet will exhibit the mPower i-series at FESPA China/CSGIA in Shanghai from November 18-20.
