Fujifilm Completes Acquisition of the Business Process Outsourcing Division of Salmat Limited in Australia

FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation has completed the acquisition process of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division of Australia's largest business service provider Salmat Limited. The acquisition had been agreed on between the two companies.

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Fuji Xerox), which handles the document solution businesses under Fujifilm Group, acquired stock of Salmat Document Management Solutions Pty. Limited (hereinafter SDMS), Salmat's subsidiary that assumes the BPO business, and renamed it Fuji Xerox Document Management Solutions Pty. Limited (hereinafter Fuji Xerox Document Management Solutions) as its consolidated subsidiary.

Fuji Xerox Document Management Solutions handles printing/delivering important postal matters including electricity/gas/water/communications invoices, and bank account statements to end users, digitalizing and automatic processing of corporate clients' invoicing work to reduce costs, delivering information by email, as well as compiling a database of scanned paper documents and their management/storage. Leveraging its advanced IT data management capacity, Fuji Xerox Document Management Solutions streamlines operations and achieves higher efficiency reducing costs by automating work processes while linking digital printing devices and work flow systems.

Fuji Xerox is strongly promoting the business shift from the hardware-centric business offering multifunction devices and printers to the solutions and services business. The acquisition of SDMS provides the company with the biggest capability to offer BPO services in Australia.

Fuji Xerox Document Management Solutions is positioned under Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., Fuji Xerox's affiliate in Singapore that is responsible for sales and marketing in the Asia-Pacific region, to expand its solutions and services in the region integrating its know-how in BPO with Fuji Xerox's powerful marketing capacity — sales performance, brand strength and customer base.
