Southwest Plastic Binding Company Changes Name

Southwest Plastic Binding Company Inc. has announced that effective immediately, its name has changed to Southwest Binding and Laminating. The name change will be reflected in the company's corporate and marketing communications.

The company changed its name as part of a comprehensive campaign to improve its focus on core customers. It manufactures and distributes equipment and supplies for bookbinding, laminating, shrink wrapping and imaging.

"The name change is a true indication of who we are, and what we do as a company," said Mark Mercer, president and CEO of Southwest Binding and Laminating. "It also reflects the core focus of our two primary products: binding and laminating. While we'll continue to manufacture and sell plastic binding and laminating SKUs, the name change much better promotes the diversity of our product lines."

The new name includes a slightly revised logo and new tagline, "Come Together. Right Now." The new name, logo and tagline will be promoted in a forthcoming advertising campaign and in a new website that features faster content delivery, with better resources and information, scheduled for a 2011 Q1 release.

Existing Southwest Binding and Laminating product offerings will not be affected by the name change and will remain for sale as is.
