Standard Register's Industramark Business Unit Honored in TLMI Label Competition

Standard Register earns two awards for prime flexographic labels

September 20, 2018

Industramark, a Standard Register business unit, was honored with two awards in the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) 34th Annual Awards Competition. The international competition recognizes innovation and technical achievements in all areas of the narrow-web industry, including tags, labels, cartons and flexible packaging. Awards were announced at the TLMI Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, Fla., held October 16-19, 2010.

Industramark received a second-place award in the “Flexography-Line-Prime” category for an in-mold snow thrower label that was created to distinguish the product as a premium brand. The label combined line art with color shading to create a dual-textured appearance of matte and gloss, which emphasized the product’s capability and differentiated the brand.

The company also won second-place honors in the “Flexography-Color Process-Prime” category for an in-mold soap dispenser label. Using Industramark’s proprietary Grafilm, the four-color process label was molded to the dispenser, which provided the product with clean, vibrant graphics that conformed to the contoured surface, distinguished the brand and permanently adhered to the product.

“We are proud to be recognized for our innovation and capabilities,” said Jeff Denton, product manager for Industramark’s Grafilm products. “The awards are validation of the significant advances we’ve made in our color management capabilities, and they clearly demonstrate our ability to meet the high quality print standards required in the prime label market, using our flexographic, in-mold technology.”

This year’s TLMI Awards Competition drew 297 entries from 54 companies. TLMI is a member-driven association that provides forums to address issues critical to the success of the narrow-web, tag, label, packaging and converting industry. It currently serves more than 300 leading converter and supplier member companies.
