Window Book is pleased to announce their industry-leading Post Master and DAT-MAIL post-presort mailing solutions have been enhanced to enable mailers to automatically generate and print PS Form 8017. With the Postal Service’s ever-increasing focus on becoming “SOX-compliant”, they are revising many of their processes and procedures in relation to documentation and reporting. And now, many mailers are being required to complete this form even though they have not been required to do so in the past.

By using Window Book’s Post Master and DAT-MAIL solutions, mailers can now easily produce a single PS Form 8017 for each job that is manually entered into the system or attach all of the Origin mail statements generated that day to a single PS Form 8017.

PS Form 8017, the Expedited Plant-Load Shipment Clearance form, provides proof to the United States Postal Service (USPS) that the shipment of mail was verified and paid for at the origin-entry post office. This program allows the mail to be transported at the mailer’s expense, to a postal facility closer to the ultimate destination of the mail. Although mail under this agreement does not qualify for drop-ship discounted pricing, mailers, can use it to expedite and control the transport of their mail for time-sensitive or dated materials.

“We are pleased to be able to help mailers save time by automatically generating PS form 8017, so they can benefit from the increased accuracy and quicker acceptance processes that software-generated postal forms provide,” said Jeffery Peoples, Window Book’s CEO.
