Offset Printer's Association (OPA) was established in the year 1988 to look after the day to day problems of the printing and packaging industry.
Offset Printer's Association (OPA) was established in the year 1988 to look after the day to day problems of the printing and packaging industry. Later on in the year 1996 it was got registered with the 'Registrar of Firms and Societies, Punjab, Chandigarh, with registration No. 1694 of 1995-96 with the registered office at Ludhiana. OPA is a prominent member of the North India Printers Association (NIPA) and is affiliated with the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP). OPA made a rapid progress and is known as one of the most active printer's body in India. OPA has its own office at South City, Ludhiana and has member strength of 138 units from Ludhiana alone. There are some members from Amritsar, Faridabad, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Mohali, Jalandhar also.
OPA has instituted Awards for the Recognition of Print Luminaries, which are considered to be the highest honour for a printer in India. OPA has conducted various studies for the development and up gradation of the Printing and Packaging Industry of the region. OPA also publishes its own calendar every year giving details of various national and international events for the people in print. OPA has conducted many group visits to various national and International exhibitions and technical seminars for the benefit of the members and other printers of the region. OPA also celebrates 'Gutenberg Festival' every year just to pay tributes to the known and un-known heroes who have toiled for the development of printing technology.
