The 11th Pentawards Will be Open Soon

Pentawards is the most prestigious worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms. It is open to everybody in all countries who are associated with the creation and marketing of packaging. At the Pentawards 2017, entrants will have the opportunity to see theircreations rewarded with a Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or unique Diamond Pentaward trophy.

Our sponsors will show their generosity by offering additional prizes totaling more than 25,000 Euro:

• The Diamond Pentaward winner will receive, in addition to his trophy, a multi-year license to the Esko 3D Packaging Design software 
• A Sleever International special prize will be bestowed on the best creation in a limited series
• The best Gold of the Luxury categories received received a IC3D software
• The winner of the Platinum Pentaward for Luxury will also win a booth at either PCD (Packaging of Perfume Cosmetics & Design) in Paris or New York
• All the winners will be published by TASCHEN in the 5th edition of The Package Design Book that will be available in November 2018 and will receive a complimentary copy of this reference book by published design. 

Created in January 2007, the Pentawards primary mission is to increase the stature of packaging design and those who create it. Each year, packaging from around the world are judged by an international jury of 12 designers and packaging design directors from major companies. The jury selects the winners based on the creative quality and the marketing relevance of the works presented. 

No less than 55 different categories allow any type of packaging to compete and be judged against similar creations. This means that a bottle of wine is not evaluated next to a beer, washing powder next to gardening materials, or even a bottle of perfume next to make-up. Each year, trophies are awarded in a different city in Europe, Asia, or the Americas, at an official ceremony which hosts hundreds of designers from around the world, and provides a unique opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.
