PODi Announces PODi Japan Affiliate
New affiliate will effectively serve Japanese market with localized content
PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, has announced the launch of the PODi Japan affiliate to uniquely serve the digital print market in Japan. With its recently launched website, http://www.podi.jp, PODi Japan offers service providers resources to grow their business.
“We are very pleased to add PODi Japan to the global PODi community,” said Rab Govil, president of PODi. “By having local representation and a website with PODi content translated into Japanese, we are able to serve more of the global digital printing ecosystem, including software, hardware and other industry vendors, print and marketing service providers, and enterprises.”
“In Japan, the publishing market, including book stores, distributors and publishers, is struggling to develop a new business model in the eBook era,” said Kamei Masahiko, CEO of PODi Japan. “Direct marketers require new solutions that incorporate emerging smart technology and big data transactions. PODi Japan intends to promote the growth of the printing industry, as well as these upper stream markets, to encourage the development of new business models. By providing members with the latest case studies from around the world and introducing new technologies, solutions and business models, PODi Japan will help members to evolve and grow their business.”
PODi Japan already has several members including Dai Nippon Screen, DIG Japan, JAGAT, K’s Company, Minori Tax, Miyakoshi, Morisawa, Nakabayashi, Nihon Chizu Kyohai, Toppan Forms, Yaraku and executive member Konica Minolta.
