Inaugural Gravure Management Excellence Awards recognizes 10 companies in 15 categories
ENULEC Electrostatics GmbH named 2013 Gravure Company of the Year
The Gravure Global Summit, which was held March 6-7, 2013 in Miami, FL, served as the official launch of the new association, Gravure Association of the Americas. A highlight of the conference was the announcement of the winners of the first inaugural Gravure Management Excellence Awards for 2013. The awards ceremony took place at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay in a special reception which concluded the conference’s two days of programs and activities.
The Gravure Management Excellence Awards program was established to recognize leadership and management excellence in the gravure industry within the Americas and globally. Companies receiving multiple honors included American Packaging Corporation, ENULEC Electrostatics GmbH, and Quad/Graphics, Inc. ENULEC Electrostatics GmbH was awarded the 2013 Gravure Company of the Year.

According to Phil Pimlott, Executive Director of GAAmericas, the Gravure Excellence Awards were established to be the focal point of recognition at the association’s annual strategic conference, Gravure Global Summit. Technical excellence will continue to be recognized within the gravure industry via the Golden Cylinder Awards, for which winners will be announced during two events later in the year: GAAmerica’s Technical Conference in October (gravure specialty products, packaging and labels) and the Gravure Publication and Premedia Conference (GPPC) in November.
The judging panel for the Gravure Management Excellence awards included: Head Judge: Sherré DeMao, President of SLD Unlimited Biz Growth Inc, and also Marketing/Communications Director for GAAmericas; Judging Committee: Pamela Schenk, GAAmericas Director of Planning and Administration, Phil Pimlott, GAAmericas Executive Director, and Bill Martin, GAAmericas Emeritus Trustee.
