drupa 2012 is one of the largest print trade shows in the world. It is held every four years in Dusseldorf, Germany, and will take place this year from May 3-16 at the Messe Dusseldorf fairgrounds. Here is a look at some of the products that will be on display.
Pitney Bowes IntelliJet Printing Systems
Pitney Bowes IntelliJet Printing Systems feature higher print speed options, including an optional print speed of 244 meters (800 feet) per minute for monochrome production for the IntelliJet 30 and IntelliJet 42 Printing Systems. The IntelliJet 20 Printing System’s speed can be doubled to 122 meters (400 feet) per minute for color printing. They also offer expanded paper printing range, including coated papers.

Epson SureLab SL-D3000
Epson SureLab SL-D3000 is a six-color digital dry lab for high-quality photo print production. The unit can print on glossy, matte, and luster media up to 12 inches wide with a maximum resolution of 1440x1440 dpi. Epson’s UltraChrome D6 6-color photo ink-set achieves a color gamut that exceeds that of silver halide. The dry lab uses significantly less energy than a wet lab, and does not need a water supply, air filter or chemicals, and no special skills are needed to operate it.

Xerox D95/D110/D125
The Xerox D95/D110/D125 Copier/Printers and D110/D125 Printers deliver sharp black-and-white image quality. The copier/printer models are available in speeds of 95, 110, and 125 ppm and scan up to 200 images per minute at 2400x2400 dpi. The printers are available in speeds of 110 and 125 ppm. EFI Fiery Dashboard
EFI’s Fiery Dashboard is a cloud-based service that provides 24/7 access to real-time production data from any Internet browser, including mobile phones and tablets. The dashboard view can be customized to focus on specific printers or groups of printers, define targets for engine utilization, or choose different date ranges to measure daily, weekly, quarterly, or even annual growth. Managers can see engine utilization and status, jobs and pages printed by media, and the split between color and black-and-white. HP Indigo 5600
The HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press prints more than two million color pages or five million monochrome pages per month. The press prints color jobs at 90 ppm and monochrome jobs at 272 ppm. Up to seven on-press ink stations enable use of HP Indigo’s full digital color gamut, including special effect inks; four, six, or seven process colors for accurate Pantone emulations; and true spot colors, mixed off press, for Pantone-certified solids.
