Ricoh Pro VC60000 - Hansaprint, Finland places the world's first order (Full version)
Hansaprint had been seeking a flexible solution, where materials can be switched quickly, and offering quality and affordability.
Hansaprint is a leading nordic production printing business, based in Finland. Employing about 350 staff, and with a turnover of about €70 million, it operates in a range of printing technologies and has been a pioneer in full color inkjet production. Hansaprint has noted that clients are increasingly asking for higher print quality but generally, until now, inkjet has not been able to produce top quality output. As well as wanting to respond to this demand, Hansaprint also wants to increase efficiency by collecting its volumes across different print applications. Similarly, it recognized a need to adapt its printing services to its clients' changing business environments. Particularly in the realm of direct mail where clients expect faster campaign turnaround and a simplified process. Therefore, Hansaprint had been seeking a flexible solution, where materials can be switched quickly, and offering quality and affordability. The answer is the new Ricoh Pro VC60000, and Hansaprint has found it a compelling all round proposition, including, notably, what it regards as a critical factor ie that Ricoh manufactures its own inkjet heads and inks. Hansaprint was also impressed by Ricoh's commitment to work in partnership with it to make the investment successful through business development support. Hansaprint expects to increasingly migrate offset and toner jobs to its two VC60000 lines, as well as existing inkjet work. And the film concludes with the bold statement from Jukka Saariluoma, Business Unit Director, that he now believes that they will be a shift from offset to inkjet production.
