HP has announced that ISI Print, of Paris, France, is the first print business in EMEA to install the HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press, as a result of its improved print quality, enhanced cost-efficiencies and wider scope for winning new business.

The family-owned ISI Print, which was created over forty years ago, prides itself on its customer-oriented stance and long-held belief in utilizing innovative technologies to meet changing demands and enhance its service capability.

"We like to set ourselves apart from our competitors, which means differentiating our offering with the latest, most innovative and performance-enhancing equipment on the market," explained Olivier Julien, co-director of the 35-strong, ISI Print, which also extends a wide-format capability to customers via an HP Designjet L25500 Printer.

"The HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press delivers a plethora of feature-rich benefits and will quite simply enable us to output larger runs of up to 2000 prints quicker, more economically and at a higher quality," he explained.

The HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press is a full duplex four-color press in a single engine designed to meet high-speed, high-volume production requirements in book, transactional/ transpromotional and direct mail printing. As a fast and flexible press, the T200 supports multiple applications with a print width up to 521mm (20.5inch) wide at duplex speeds up to 61m (200ft) per minute in color and 122m (400ft) per minute in monochrome.

Among the HP T200 press' features to particularly impress Julien is the HP Bonding Agent, a colorless liquid applied before the other inks, and only where inks are printed, to improve optical density and pigment adhesion to the paper.

"The T200's use of the HP Bonding Agent means that we can now not only print onto low-cost, uncoated offset media, but by doing so, achieve a level of durability and output quality that far exceeded our expectations," he said. "This is sure to delight our customers and we look forward to providing samples to promote our enhanced capability."

According to Julien, over its four decades in business, the company has witnessed large changes in the needs and expectations of its customers, but now feels equipped to fulfill these requirements and offer new applications to them.

"As well as demanding a quicker and cheaper service, customers are increasingly looking for a fewer number of suppliers to deliver a wider spectrum of graphic arts projects," he continued.

"I genuinely believe that, along with our HP wide format inkjet offering, the unique attributes of the HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press perfectly position us to increase the breadth and volume of work from existing accounts, as well as win customers in new markets that were previously out of reach," he concluded.
