Last summer, Xerox rolled out its new Versant 2100 Press, designed completely from the ground up, and in the Press/Finishing Pavilion, Xerox will have the new toner-based color press on display in Booth 1213. Positioned between the Color C75/J75 and 800/1000 Press, in terms of both performance and price, the Versant 2100 color press prints up to 100 pages per minute (ppm) and is capable of a resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi. The toner-based press prints on coated and uncoated papers, bright papers, labels, business cards, glossy brochures, window decals, durable/synthetic papers, greeting cards, tabs, embossed, polyesters, and more. It boasts the flexibility to print on substrates from 52 to 350 gsm, enabling users to print very lightweight or more heavy duty applications.

The Versant 2100 also has a footprint, with a starting size of just 80 cubic feet. It’s designed to be a workhorse that delivers mid-entry production color volumes with high-entry production color speeds to create colorful personalized communications, collateral, brochures, photo publishing and specialty products. And by leveraging FreeFlow Core and XMPie, the Versant 2100 can also be used to create personalized and customized as well as cross-media applications—some of the most profitable print products today.

The Versant 2100 Press also offers a new EA Eco Dry Ink formula, which imparts a low-gloss, vibrant look to images.

The new press also features greater integrated automation, via the inline Full Width Array; higher levels of precision with Production Accurate Registration (PAR), a combination of hardware and software technologies that ensures tight, stable registration from page to page and run to run; and better quality via its Ultra HD Resolution, which  reproduces extremely fine details and sharp images, graphics, and text.

Targeted at commercial and quick printers, franchises, inplant printing departments, and end users in verticals such as health care and insurance.
