Konica Minolta Showcases End-to-End Print Production Solutions

At Print 13, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. (Booth 518) is taking a step forward with its EnvisionIT Production products and solutions offering. Launched last year at GRAPH EXPO 2012, the EnvisionIT Production suite represents Konica Minolta’s approach to solving customer business issues with an integrated combination of solutions, hardware and software. This year, that approach further extends to include businesses of all sizes with everything from high output color and black and white digital presses to cross media software, IT services and workflow solutions.

What’s New

Visitors to Konica Minolta’s booth will immediately notice a technology preview of the KM-1 / IS29 Inkjet Printer, a large, state-of-the-art color, digital press that processes cut-sheet pages up to B2 size. Co-developed by Konica Minolta and Komori, the KM-1 / IS29 combines Konica Minolta’s superior UV inkjet technology with Komori’s reliable paper handling technology to provide worry-free fast output, superior color quality and reliable digital throughput.

Konica Minolta is also previewing its next generation of digital presses including its bizhub PRESS C1070 series of color digital printers and the much-anticipated bizhub PRESS C1100 digital printer, a 100 page per minute digital color press that provides superior image quality and high productivity, regardless of media weight.

For those interested primarily in black and white printing, Konica Minolta will be previewing the bizhub PRESS 2250, a powerful monochrome digital press that prints up to 250 pages per minute, and up to six million impressions per month, with a wide variety of pro-quality inline finishing options.

Another new item that delivers high quality color is the IC-602 Image controller. This custom-designed image controller from Konica Minolta mounts internally to bizhub PRESS digital presses to streamline job management, provide print queue control and feature intuitive on-screen job editing capabilities to simplify work and speed up output.

The Solutions Circle

Konica Minolta’s Solutions Circle is a one-stop-shop for end-to-end customer solutions and services. In this area of the booth, visitors can learn more about the company’s All Covered IT Services offerings, including cloud services, managed IT services and application solutions. Additionally, Konica Minolta is showcasing its EngageIT Automation, EngageIT XMedia (pronounced “cross media”) and Dispatcher Pro solutions in this area.

EngageIT Automation is a web-enabled order automation portal that is fully integrated with an automated production workflow. This solution enables a printer to plan its production cycle for its most repetitive jobs, even before a job enters the workflow. EngageIT XMedia is an easy-to-use interface that allows digital printers to manage and deploy all direct marketing channels – from direct mail to social media – all from one fully-integrated platform. Additionally, Dispatcher Pro, a powerful yet easy-to-use software application that automates document handling, printing, and routing, will be demonstrated in this area.

Additionally, Mohawk Paper is supplying the entire booth with paper for the show.
