Glunz & Jensen Experienced Overwhelming Success at drupa 2008
Glunz & Jensen Press Release

Glunz & Jensen, the leading manufacturer of pre-press equipment for the graphic arts industry, proved extremely popular this month during drupa, the world’s largest printing trade show.

“I have never seen anything quite like the interest we generated at Drupa. During the entire trade show, customers were constantly requesting demonstrations of our PlateWriter systems,” said Steen Andreasen, head of Marketing at Glunz & Jensen.

“We ignited immense excitement amongst all the small printing companies and commercial print establishments who are looking to invest in CtP, and who are keen to embrace the environmentally friendly message. We also had a continuous flow of valuable meetings with clients that exceeded our expectations.”

The PlateWriter 2000 and PlateWriter 2400 were both presented at drupa. The systems offer processor-free plate making in B3 format, where the press-ready image is transferred directly onto metal plates. There is no need for diazo or photopolymer coating and therefore no light sensitivity. The system is cost efficient, time saving and environmentally friendly.

“With the PlateWriter systems you can actually install the equipment directly in your work environment. And with prices starting at €18.999 the PlateWriter 2000 is a very interesting product for the smaller printing companies, as chemistry-free solutions are normally unattainable in this price range. drupa showed that we have a product range that fulfils an immediate market demand for high quality print solutions at low prices.”
