Fujifilm Announces Integration of GMI Products Into Taskero Universe
    Fujifilm Press Release

Fujifilm Corporation is proud to announce a partnership with GMI (Graphics Microsystems, Inc.) the world's premier supplier of closed loop color control systems, color management and reporting software, as Fujifilm's Taskero Universe moves into the pressroom.

"The GMI suite of products, used by the web press segment of the printing market, are of the highest standard when it comes to on-press spectrophotometry color measurement, color control and real time feedback," said Don Schroeder, Fujifilm's director of solutions development. "By enabling a link to the Fujifilm Taskero Universe solution, this combination of onboard L*a*b*, density and dot gain data and press diagnostics, will now lend quality control to the entire production of the printed piece and give visibility to the job virtually anywhere in the world via the Internet."

The integration of the GMI Color Manager solution will provide onboard diagnostics and will also support the prepress information coming from the files, color, proofs, processor and plates provided by Taskero Universe.

"Fujifilm is thrilled to be working with GMI to bring this exciting new solution to the publication and web segments of our market," added Neil Johnson, vice president of service for Fujifilm Graphic Systems U.S.A., Inc.

"Combining GMI's spectral data from actual press production with Fujifilm's Taskero Production Services will provide our mutual customers with increased value and capabilities," commented Gary Wetzel, CEO, GMI.
