“The U.S. Government Printing Office recorded another strong year of performance in 2008, that stands as a testament to the hardworking men and women of GPO who have worked hard to support the information and production service requirements of Congress, federal agencies, the library community and the American people,” began Tapella.
“In our 2008 Annual Report and summary video, we record great strides in achieving green initiatives and furthering sustainable environmental stewardship—especially in implementing our vision for the entire lifecycle process for the products and services that GPO produces. In our Strategic Results section, you will see how GPO is building on our strategic vision and implementing an agency-wide balanced scorecard,” he noted.
He concluded the announcement by stating, “It is my privilege to circulate my 2nd Annual Report as the Nation’s 25th Public Printer and I am looking forward to more great achievements in the coming year.”
